MANNVILLE - I would like to thank everyone that attended one of the Town Hall meetings I hosted last week across the Vegreville-Wainwright constituency. I truly appreciate your taking the time to come out and share in discussion of the economy, agriculture, justice and the many other federal topics of importance to us all. I now have your ideas to share with my colleagues and I will be briefing the Prime Minister and Finance Minister on the views that you have shared regarding the federal budget in March.
Unfortunately, due to a car accident Thursday evening and injuries I sustained, I was unable to complete the meetings scheduled for Friday and Saturday. I will be rescheduling meetings in those communities in the future and I look forward to hearing from you. Certainly, I would encourage anyone who has suggestions about what the upcoming federal Budget should contain, or comments on the overall direction of the Government for the next session of Parliament, to send that feedback to my attention either via fax (613-996-9011) or email (benoil@parl.gc.ca).
Thank you as well to those who have phoned to express their concern and best wishes. I will be taking a bit of time to recover and I am relieved that those in the car that skidded out of control into my lane didn’t seem to be seriously hurt.
